Installation Overview

1. Unscrew and remove the old buckle. Keep the original screw for reuse.
2. Support the folding mechanism on a solid surface. Protect and move cables away before punching.
3. Apply penetrating oil/lubricant to the pin (optional gentle heat can help).
4. Using a 4 mm punch, drive the pin out from LEFT to RIGHT (when viewed from the scooter’s front).
5. Position the new buckle and reuse the original screw.
6. Insert the new pin from RIGHT to LEFT (follow the arrow on the pin) and seat it flush.
7. Adjust the latch bolt so the clamp closes firmly without excessive force; eliminate play in the stem.
8. If the pin is stubborn, you may cut both ends and punch out the remainder, or use a vise/bolt press method.
